# Chatbooks vs taeppl

Chatbooks and taeppl both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of taeppl's written reviews are positive against 65% of Chatbooks's. taeppl also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 9 days). Chatbooks's advantage is ratings volume (249K vs 5) and chart position (#196 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
