# MTG Trades vs TV Presets

The clearest difference is rating: TV Presets at 5.0 against MTG Trades's 4.6. TV Presets also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). MTG Trades's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MTG Trades sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and TV Presets sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TV Presets holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MTG Trades has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MTG Trades ships an update every 2 months, TV Presets fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
