# SkyJournal vs Secret Diary With Passcode

The clearest difference is ads: SkyJournal at none against Secret Diary With Passcode's shown. SkyJournal also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Secret Diary With Passcode's advantage is ratings volume (8.2K vs 11) and review sentiment (83% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SkyJournal holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secret Diary With Passcode has 8.2K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of SkyJournal's written reviews are positive against 83% of Secret Diary With Passcode's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SkyJournal ships an update every 2 months, Secret Diary With Passcode every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
