# CannaMaps vs WEEDAR

The clearest difference is rating: CannaMaps at 5.0 against WEEDAR's 4.5. CannaMaps also leads on iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.1). WEEDAR's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CannaMaps sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. WEEDAR asks for nothing beyond the download.

CannaMaps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WEEDAR has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of CannaMaps's written reviews are positive against 78% of WEEDAR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CannaMaps ships an update every 2 months, WEEDAR fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
