# EMKG vs TOMapp

The clearest difference is update cadence: TOMapp at every 6 weeks against EMKG's every 12 months. EMKG's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EMKG ships an update every 12 months, TOMapp every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
