# Creative Writer vs Book Creator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Creative Writer at 59% against Book Creator's 0%. Creative Writer also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (277 vs 27). Book Creator's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Creative Writer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Book Creator sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Book Creator holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Creative Writer has 277 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Creative Writer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Book Creator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Creative Writer ships an update every 2 weeks, Book Creator every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
