# ACIM Remind vs Shepherd

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shepherd at every 8 days against ACIM Remind's every 2 months. Shepherd also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). ACIM Remind's advantage is ratings volume (3.2K vs 11) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ACIM Remind sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Shepherd sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ACIM Remind holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ACIM Remind has 3.2K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of ACIM Remind's written reviews are positive against 100% of Shepherd's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ACIM Remind ships an update every 2 months, Shepherd every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
