# Suru vs Deer

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Suru at 526 against Deer's 6. Suru also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15). Deer's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Suru sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Deer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Deer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Suru has 526 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of Suru's written reviews are positive against 89% of Deer's.

Suru ships an update fortnightly, Deer every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
