# Beachcomber vs STH App

The clearest difference is update cadence: STH App at every 3 weeks against Beachcomber's every 21 months. Beachcomber's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Beachcomber ships an update every 21 months, STH App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
