# Backgammon Live™ Board Game vs Backgammon Online

The clearest difference is rating: Backgammon Live™ Board Game at 4.7 against Backgammon Online's 4.1. Backgammon Live™ Board Game also leads on ratings volume (62K vs 142) and chart position (#59 vs unranked). Backgammon Online's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 43%) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Live™ Board Game sells 13 one-off in-app purchases and Backgammon Online sells 27 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Live™ Board Game holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Live™ Board Game has 62K ratings behind it against 142, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Backgammon Live™ Board Game's written reviews are positive against 73% of Backgammon Online's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon Live™ Board Game ships an update monthly, Backgammon Online weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
