The Elements in Action's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Explayn is free to download; The Elements in Action costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Elements in Action holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Elements in Action has 33 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of The Elements in Action's written reviews are positive against 100% of Explayn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
