# MyU vs Classmate

The clearest difference is rating: MyU at 4.6 against Classmate's 3.4. MyU also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (23K vs 5). Classmate's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyU sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Classmate sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyU holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyU has 23K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 67% and 67% positive.

MyU ships an update every 8 days, Classmate every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
