# Radio Catskill vs Met Opera

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Met Opera at 4.2K against Radio Catskill's 12. Met Opera also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Radio Catskill's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Met Opera holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Met Opera has 4.2K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Radio Catskill's written reviews are positive against 57% of Met Opera's.

Radio Catskill ships an update every 2 months, Met Opera fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
