# Awesome Scanner vs Docusy

The clearest difference is rating: Awesome Scanner at 4.6 against Docusy's 4.0. Awesome Scanner also leads on ratings volume (130 vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.6). Docusy's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Awesome Scanner sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Docusy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Awesome Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Awesome Scanner has 130 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Awesome Scanner's written reviews are positive against 100% of Docusy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Awesome Scanner ships an update every 2 months, Docusy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
