# SteakMate vs EveryPlate

The clearest difference is rating: EveryPlate at 4.7 against SteakMate's 3.6. EveryPlate also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (68K vs 8). SteakMate's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (70% vs 52%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EveryPlate holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EveryPlate has 68K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of SteakMate's written reviews are positive against 52% of EveryPlate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SteakMate ships an update every 5 months, EveryPlate weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
