# SteakMate vs Weber Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Weber Connect at 4.6 against SteakMate's 3.6. Weber Connect also leads on ratings volume (3.2K vs 8) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). SteakMate's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 31%) and iOS requirement (13.0.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Weber Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weber Connect has 3.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of SteakMate's written reviews are positive against 31% of Weber Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SteakMate ships an update every 5 months, Weber Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
