# Zee 5 vs Apple TV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Apple TV at none against Zee 5's 22. Apple TV also leads on review sentiment (43% vs 15%) and ratings volume (1.9M vs 24K). Zee 5's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and chart position (#116 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zee 5 sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Apple TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Apple TV holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Apple TV has 1.9M ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 15% of Zee 5's written reviews are positive against 43% of Apple TV's.

Zee 5 ships an update every 6 days, Apple TV every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
