# Zee 5 vs Pixie

Zee 5 and Pixie both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Pixie's written reviews are positive against 15% of Zee 5's. Pixie also leads on ads (none vs shown). Zee 5's advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 40) and chart position (#112 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zee 5 sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Pixie sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Zee 5 against 4.6 for Pixie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zee 5 has 24K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 15% of Zee 5's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pixie's.

Zee 5 ships an update every 5 days, Pixie weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
