# PDF Expert vs SIPLAP

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SIPLAP at none against PDF Expert's 12. SIPLAP also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). PDF Expert's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (216K vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Expert sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. SIPLAP asks for nothing beyond the download.

SIPLAP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Expert has 216K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDF Expert ships an update fortnightly, SIPLAP every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
