# PDF Expert vs Contract FinePrint

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Contract FinePrint at 100% against PDF Expert's 45%. Contract FinePrint also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). PDF Expert's advantage is ratings volume (216K vs 4) and chart position (#76 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Expert sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Contract FinePrint sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contract FinePrint holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Expert has 216K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of PDF Expert's written reviews are positive against 100% of Contract FinePrint's.

PDF Expert ships an update fortnightly, Contract FinePrint every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
