# PDF Expert vs Easy Build

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Expert at 4.7 against Easy Build's 1.0. PDF Expert also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (216K vs 1). Easy Build's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Expert sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Easy Build sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Expert holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Expert has 216K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of PDF Expert's written reviews are positive against 47% of Easy Build's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PDF Expert ships an update fortnightly, Easy Build every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
