# Sign vs Kretus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kretus at 100% against Sign's 26%. Kretus also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.8) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). Sign's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sign sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Kretus asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kretus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sign has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 26% of Sign's written reviews are positive against 100% of Kretus's.

Sign ships an update every 3 months, Kretus every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
