# Brainly vs Pic Answer

The clearest difference is ads: Pic Answer at none against Brainly's shown. Pic Answer also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Brainly's advantage is ratings volume (284K vs 3.4K) and chart position (#99 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainly sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.00 per month and Pic Answer sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Brainly against 4.6 for Pic Answer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainly has 284K ratings behind it against 3.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Brainly's written reviews are positive against 56% of Pic Answer's.

Brainly ships an update weekly, Pic Answer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
