# Brainly vs Nerd AI

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Brainly at 284K against Nerd AI's 33K. Nerd AI's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainly sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.00 per month and Nerd AI sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Brainly against 4.7 for Nerd AI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainly has 284K ratings behind it against 33K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Brainly's written reviews are positive against 59% of Nerd AI's.

Brainly ships an update weekly, Nerd AI every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
