# SnapTrack vs Progress

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Progress at 75% against SnapTrack's 28%. Progress also leads on rating (3.9 vs 3.4) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). SnapTrack's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (45 vs 14). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapTrack sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Progress sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Progress holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 45 and 14 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of SnapTrack's written reviews are positive against 75% of Progress's.

SnapTrack ships an update every 2 weeks, Progress weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
