# Cricut Design Space vs Sigil Code

Cricut Design Space and Sigil Code both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Sigil Code's written reviews are positive against 16% of Cricut Design Space's. Cricut Design Space's advantage is ratings volume (746K vs 4) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cricut Design Space sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Sigil Code sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Cricut Design Space against 4.8 for Sigil Code. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cricut Design Space has 746K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 16% of Cricut Design Space's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sigil Code's.

Cricut Design Space ships an update weekly, Sigil Code every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
