# VERT vs TrueAP

The clearest difference is rating: TrueAP at 5.0 against VERT's 3.1. TrueAP also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). VERT's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (22 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VERT sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per month. TrueAP asks for nothing beyond the download.

TrueAP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VERT has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VERT ships an update fortnightly, TrueAP every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
