# DRIVE2 vs BandChat

The clearest difference is rating: DRIVE2 at 4.8 against BandChat's 3.0. DRIVE2 also leads on ratings volume (510 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). BandChat's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (44% vs 28%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DRIVE2 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. BandChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

DRIVE2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DRIVE2 has 510 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of DRIVE2's written reviews are positive against 44% of BandChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DRIVE2 ships an update fortnightly, BandChat monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
