# BarcodeHelper vs Qr

BarcodeHelper and Qr both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Qr's written reviews are positive against 43% of BarcodeHelper's. Qr also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). BarcodeHelper's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BarcodeHelper sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Qr sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BarcodeHelper against 5.0 for Qr. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Qr has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of BarcodeHelper's written reviews are positive against 100% of Qr's.

BarcodeHelper ships an update fortnightly, Qr every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
