# Spond vs Fantasy Rowing

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Spond at none against Fantasy Rowing's 2. Spond also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 8). Fantasy Rowing's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 61%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, ads, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fantasy Rowing sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year. Spond asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spond holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spond has 3.8K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Spond's written reviews are positive against 93% of Fantasy Rowing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spond ships an update weekly, Fantasy Rowing every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
