# Spond vs Superstat

The clearest difference is rating: Spond at 4.9 against Superstat's 4.0. Spond also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 1). Superstat's advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 61%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superstat sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Spond asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spond holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spond has 3.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Spond's written reviews are positive against 88% of Superstat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spond ships an update weekly, Superstat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
