# GDSL vs DSE

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GDSL at 100% against DSE's 15%. GDSL also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.2) and iOS requirement (6.1 vs 13.0). DSE's advantage is ratings volume (103 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GDSL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DSE has 103 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of GDSL's written reviews are positive against 15% of DSE's.

GDSL ships an update every 8 months, DSE every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
