# Garden Plate vs Fasting Tracker App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Garden Plate at free with in-app purchases against Fasting Tracker App's subscription. Garden Plate also leads on review sentiment (52% vs 17%) and ratings volume (3.5K vs 675). Fasting Tracker App's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Garden Plate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fasting Tracker App sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Garden Plate against 4.7 for Fasting Tracker App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Garden Plate has 3.5K ratings behind it against 675, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of Garden Plate's written reviews are positive against 17% of Fasting Tracker App's.

Garden Plate ships an update every 3 months, Fasting Tracker App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
