# instruMENTAList vs Learn Drums

The clearest difference is rating: Learn Drums at 4.4 against instruMENTAList's 3.0. Learn Drums also leads on ratings volume (188 vs 2). instruMENTAList's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. instruMENTAList sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Learn Drums sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Learn Drums holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Drums has 188 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of instruMENTAList's written reviews are positive against 33% of Learn Drums's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

instruMENTAList ships an update weekly, Learn Drums every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
