# Hue Lights vs Datesy

The clearest difference is ads: Hue Lights at none against Datesy's shown. Hue Lights also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). Datesy's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hue Lights sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Datesy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hue Lights ships an update every 5 months, Datesy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
