# Hue Lights vs LIGHTIFY

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LIGHTIFY at none against Hue Lights's 9. LIGHTIFY also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 393). Hue Lights's advantage is review sentiment (45% vs 26%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hue Lights sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. LIGHTIFY asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Hue Lights against 4.0 for LIGHTIFY. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LIGHTIFY has 2.4K ratings behind it against 393, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of Hue Lights's written reviews are positive against 26% of LIGHTIFY's.

Hue Lights ships an update every 5 months, LIGHTIFY every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
