# MetaMoJi Note Lite vs Notes Writer

The clearest difference is rating: Notes Writer at 4.5 against MetaMoJi Note Lite's 3.6. Notes Writer also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (7.3K vs 91). MetaMoJi Note Lite's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and review sentiment (68% vs 45%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes Writer sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. MetaMoJi Note Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notes Writer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes Writer has 7.3K ratings behind it against 91, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of MetaMoJi Note Lite's written reviews are positive against 45% of Notes Writer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MetaMoJi Note Lite ships an update every 2 months, Notes Writer every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
