# gutefrage vs Blindmate

The clearest difference is rating: Blindmate at 4.7 against gutefrage's 3.4. Blindmate also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). gutefrage's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blindmate sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.00 per month. gutefrage asks for nothing beyond the download.

Blindmate holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blindmate has 183 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of gutefrage's written reviews are positive against 91% of Blindmate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
