# Gait vs Stepping

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stepping at every 3 days against Gait's every 6 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gait sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stepping sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gait ships an update every 6 days, Stepping every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
