# Norstatpanel vs SMELLiT

The clearest difference is rating: SMELLiT at 4.5 against Norstatpanel's 1.3. SMELLiT also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (60 vs 4). Norstatpanel's advantage is review sentiment (24% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SMELLiT holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMELLiT has 60 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Norstatpanel's written reviews are positive against 0% of SMELLiT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Norstatpanel ships an update every 4 months, SMELLiT monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
