# Maqamat vs Qanun Sim

The clearest difference is ads: Maqamat at none against Qanun Sim's shown. Maqamat also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (38 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maqamat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Qanun Sim sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Maqamat holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maqamat has 38 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
