# Voice Synth Modular vs Mobile VOCALOID Editor

The clearest difference is rating: Voice Synth Modular at 4.2 against Mobile VOCALOID Editor's 2.9. Voice Synth Modular also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Voice Synth Modular sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Mobile VOCALOID Editor sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Voice Synth Modular holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Voice Synth Modular has 3K ratings behind it against 124, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Voice Synth Modular's written reviews are positive against 44% of Mobile VOCALOID Editor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
