# Fliptastic vs Photos & Video Slideshow Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Photos & Video Slideshow Maker at 84% against Fliptastic's 58%. Photos & Video Slideshow Maker also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Fliptastic's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (575 vs 164). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fliptastic sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Photos & Video Slideshow Maker sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fliptastic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 575 and 164 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Fliptastic's written reviews are positive against 84% of Photos & Video Slideshow Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fliptastic ships an update every 2 months, Photos & Video Slideshow Maker every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
