# Fliptastic vs Slideshow Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Slideshow Maker at 100% against Fliptastic's 58%. Slideshow Maker also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Fliptastic's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (574 vs 7). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fliptastic sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Slideshow Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slideshow Maker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fliptastic has 574 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Fliptastic's written reviews are positive against 100% of Slideshow Maker's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
