# Fliptastic vs CarViewer

The clearest difference is rating: Fliptastic at 4.6 against CarViewer's 4.0. Fliptastic also leads on ratings volume (573 vs 1). CarViewer's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 58%) and in-app purchases (none vs 8). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fliptastic sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. CarViewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fliptastic holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fliptastic has 573 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Fliptastic's written reviews are positive against 100% of CarViewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
