# FindShip vs MyShipTracking

The clearest difference is rating: MyShipTracking at 4.4 against FindShip's 3.5. MyShipTracking also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.5K vs 994). FindShip's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FindShip sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MyShipTracking sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyShipTracking holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 994 and 4.5K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of FindShip's written reviews are positive against 40% of MyShipTracking's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FindShip ships an update every 3 weeks, MyShipTracking every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
