# F vs AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server

F and AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of F's written reviews are positive against 44% of AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server's. AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 1.1K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. F sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server has 13K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of F's written reviews are positive against 44% of AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

F ships an update every 2 months, AVG Secure VPN & Proxy server every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
