# Sing Sharp vs The Vocal Coach

The clearest difference is ads: The Vocal Coach at none against Sing Sharp's shown. The Vocal Coach also leads on review sentiment (93% vs 70%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Sing Sharp's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 18) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sing Sharp sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and The Vocal Coach sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sing Sharp holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sing Sharp has 14K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Sing Sharp's written reviews are positive against 93% of The Vocal Coach's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sing Sharp ships an update every 5 weeks, The Vocal Coach every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
