# Sing Sharp vs Howli

The clearest difference is ads: Howli at none against Sing Sharp's shown. Howli also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Sing Sharp's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 9) and review sentiment (69% vs 50%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sing Sharp sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Howli sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Sing Sharp against 4.4 for Howli. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sing Sharp has 14K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of Sing Sharp's written reviews are positive against 50% of Howli's.

Sing Sharp ships an update every 5 weeks, Howli every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
