# Instant Voice Translator vs Translator ·

The clearest difference is monetization model: Instant Voice Translator at free with in-app purchases against Translator ·'s subscription. Instant Voice Translator also leads on review sentiment (69% vs 49%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Translator ·'s advantage is ratings volume (23K vs 971). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instant Voice Translator sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Translator · sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Instant Voice Translator against 4.6 for Translator ·. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Translator · has 23K ratings behind it against 971, so its average is the more settled of the two.
